Muscular strength is a worthy goal for both sexes and
all ages. I can train you to gain muscle, or get stronger
and more toned without extra muscle bulk, whichever
you prefer.
Resistance training
The key to strength training is resistance. I train
clients with dumbells (which you can buy from me at
a very low price!) or simply bodyweight. To gain strength
you need to overload the muscles a little beyond what
they're used to, which will stimulate growth and increased
strength.

Toned and defined - without bulk
I will show you how to tone up without gaining muscle
bulk - some women in particular don't want bigger muscles,
they just want to look lean and firm. You achieve this
by using lighter weights and more repetitions. This
will also give you muscular endurance (stamina). You
will also enjoy the added benefit of fat loss, as more
lean tissue (muscle) will raise your metabolism which
means you will burn more fat even at rest.

Muscle growth
If you want more visible muscles and greater muscular
strength for short bursts of power, I will show you
how to achieve this. The key is heavier weights and
fewer repetitions. I will emphasise how to achieve this
safely, without damaging muscles and joints.
